I-Fest!!!April 13

WHAT IS I-FEST?International Festival (also known as I-Fest) is one of FBISD's largest single day events. I-Fest explores different nationalities and cultures that are represented or underrepresented within the FBISD student body. With a combination of local restaurant booths serving food, decorated student-run informational booths with engaging activities, and open performances that fill the event with lively music, I-Fest is dedicated to providing a fun, educational, and immersive experience for its attendees. All proceeds go to non-profit charity organizations that vary with every year and its theme. This year's I-Fest theme is Bloom into Culture - International Flowers!

NEWS

RESTAURANT PARTNERSHIPS
I-Fest has had partnerships with restaurants all over the Sugar Land area! We’ve had partnerships with Sharetea, Beard Papa’s, and many others for the past few years. Restaurants are provided one designated booth at our event and our organization is open to supplying plates and silverware for catering. Prices are set by partnered restaurants and restaurants are paid in total after the event. All money handling is supervised by Clements High School staff. Please contact us at [email protected] for possible partnership inquiries.

NEW DECORATIONS
Due to changing YES hour requirements, we have discontinued our tradition of making large mural banners for the commons. We are now focusing on incorporating other forms of art into our decorations such as crochet garlands, paper decorations made of teachers' scrap paper, and bottle cap mosaic props for the photobooth. There will be a decorations workshop where people can work on whatever they please every Wednesday in Ms. Meece's room (1313) from 3:00-4:00 pm.

ART GALLERY
This year at I-Fest, we'll be hosting an art gallery. This will be a quiet space for art and music (provided by Clements Music Club) with a limited amount of people in the gallery at a time. Submit a pitch for your artwork to us through the linked Google Forms above!

BOTTLE CAP COMPETITION
In an effort to be more sustainable, I-club is collecting bottle caps through January! The official deadline to participate in the competition is February 7th. Bring a reusable container, labeled with your name and school id and drop them off at Ms. Meece’s (1311) or Mrs. Mcmennamy’s (1118)!
